1. Necessary storage
The site can use necessary browser storage for features such as an 18+ acknowledgement, security/session state and user-interface preferences. Production authenticated sessions will use secure mechanisms appropriate to the final backend, including security attributes on session cookies where cookies are used.
2. Browser Test Mode
The current Admin/Subscriber Test Mode stores demo posts, uploaded demo media, simulated entitlements and messages in IndexedDB on the same browser/device. It is development data, not a real account or cloud publication. Clearing browser site data removes this test content.
3. Analytics
No non-essential analytics or advertising cookie is required for the current static site. If analytics are introduced, the provider, purpose, retention and consent mechanism will be documented before use where required. AVRE should avoid adding tracking simply because a template supports it.
4. Control and deletion
Users can clear site data through browser settings. Production account data that exists on AVRE servers is not necessarily deleted by clearing browser storage and is governed by the Privacy Policy and account controls.
